Here, the users can see a graphical pie chart representation of the number of sales for a superstore on a monthly basis stored in a SQL Server 2003 database. By clicking on each month the user can see more detailed ‘drill down’ information, and an option that allows the data to be exported directly to an Excel spreadsheet. The pie chart was created using a java applet and data from a database.
